Disco Iskandar: where folklore and entertainment converge. Disco Iskandar is an award-winning, nationally touring belly dance company based in Orlando, Florida. Originally founded with a cast of five in Los Angeles, California, the company now includes twenty members in chapters in California, Texas, and Florida.

With a mission of maintaining artistic and cultural integrity, fostering creativity, and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences across the US, Disco Iskandar is unparalleled in groovy goodness.

The company celebrates the dances of North Africa, Southwest Asia, and the American stylizations inspired by these regions, such as American Cabaret and transnational fusion. Being both researchers & entertainers, Disco Iskandar's dancers craft a unique experience dripping with 1970's glam while paying homage to our influences: Anatolian Rock, Raqs Sharqi, regional folk dances from Egypt, Iraq, & the Levant, and of course: disco.

Disco Iskandar visits Boom Boom Shake at GARF 2026

Liz Azi & Veronica Lynn joined our beloved and dear friends Boom Boom Shake at the Georgia Renaissance Festival this season! We adapted our signature cane dance choreo for Boom Boom Shake's rendition of Saskin (choreo originally by Karina Belly Dance LA). Wing choreography by Elizabeth Muise and Shoshanna Estelle! New Video: Cane Duet at Pittsburgh Belly Dance Fusion Faire 2026

Heather Marie and Veronica Lynn performed a saidi cane duet at Pittsburgh Belly Dance Fusion Faire 2026 in Carnegie, PA, with choreography by Veronica. It was the MOST fun to rehearse and perform! Fusion Faire is an amazing event produced by Joanna Abel (3rd Street Belly Dance) and is already being planned for next year! Video by Kat from Kalamazoo

New Video: Pittsburgh Belly Dance Fusion Faire 2026 (Veronica Lynn's Solo)

See Veronica's solo performance at this year's Pittsburgh Belly Dance Fusion Faire which was an amazing and very special festival organized by Joanna Abel! (3rd Street Belly Dance). Veronica taught her sold-out workshop Rollercoaster: Improvisation and in addition to a solo in the Friday Night show, performed a Disco Iskandar duet choreography with the amazing Heather Marie (Michigan) in the Saturday show. Our belly dance offerings include fusion belly dance, Egyptian style, American Cabaret, and Turkish Oryantal.

Our folkloric & theatrical offerings include saidi (cane) dance, Melaya Leff, Iraqi Gypsy, and dabke.
